SiNNeR
a few times I've noticed odd behaviour in the games screenshots, namely that it's overwriting screenshots by restarting or going back a few numbersmy theory is that it may be when the game has a CTD that it loses count of any shots made during that play and on the next load overwrites them, but that's only a guess, I can't remember for sure if it's always been after a crash that it's happened. assuming this theory is correct though (and it may not be, so I'd welcome any other suggestions) I'd like some way to fix or work around it since I'm not sure I'd remember to back up my screenshots after every crash. ideally stopping the CTDs would be an ideal solution but that's not likely, since Oblivion is sadly known for it's random crashes even with all the patches, fixes and everything else, the best that can be hoped for seems to be to minimise them, and to be fair it doesn't crash all that often even if it does have an annoying tendancy to crash sometimes just as I think "I haven't saved in a while so I'd better do so in case it crashes..."but anyway, I was wondering if there's some way to stop the game from 'forgetting' or 'losing count' when it crashes somehow there's also the annoyance of them saving as bmp images instead of jpg meaning I have to convert them all myself, but from what I gather it's not possible to make the game save as jpg instead, please correct me if I'm wrong
Seren4XX
I have a very good work around for you: Use Fraps in combination with the tools supplied in the link below. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=31930 That's what I use and it works without problems. It does save screenshots in .bmp format, but the link I gave you supplies you with a bmp->jpg converter that does the work for you. (It's not the fastest nor slow, but you don't have to do it manually!) This work around also makes you able to turn on anti-aliasing, again since it doesn't use Oblivion's screenshot system. Concerning CTD, have you tried running Windom Earle's Crash Prevention System? (Linky: http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22282)Also, BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) can help you stabilize Oblivion by making a good load order for you.(Final linky: http://www.tesnexus....le.php?id=20516 ) I hope that helps  Edited June 19, 2011 by Seren4XX
