the metro system

I have been playing fallout 3 recently because i have basicly done everything on new Vegas and have noticed an extreme absence of a real metro system in new Vegas. I personally thought the metro system was a big atmospheric part of fallout 3 and really gave you something to do even if you had completed the game and after all that my idea...

a mercenary/savaging group has seen at the good springs saloon, you get some pop up starting the quest and you meet them, i was thinking about calling them the "metro ranger" but its open to debate and basicly there looking for recruits and you are a prime candidate being courier who can survive a bullet to the brain or something like that and so you sign on to the team, i think a good idea is that you have to leave all your equipment with them as a deposit before finale payment and they give you a kit (two guns, combat knife some basic provisions, armour and helmet and ammo) and you set off to do some scaviging but soon you find out your going armed because there is a rival group of scavengers something like the "tech raiders". I thought it could maybe be mr houses or like a presidents private metro and its connected to a bank or storage area and thats the main goal of the mission but there are lots of quests in order to get there, this is only an idea and anyone who is an accomplished modder is welcome to use the idea and change it.

I have only been to Vegas once but I don't recall an underground metro. There were buses and shuttles all over. From an engineering stand point, the ground in Vegas is too soft to support metro type constrcution without very deep foundations. The big buildings in Vegas have structural supports hundreds of feet deep to get to bedrock.

Of course that does not mean there can't be a metro in New Vegas. Can't the resources from FO3 be used to mod FONV?

i think i saw a modders resource pack with tunnels somewhere... could have been "speedy's resources", but not sure...

anyway, i found the metro tunnels in fo3 more boring and redundant than something i'd really miss in nv... but that's just me of course... :-)

There Are train tunnels in NV, just south of Nellis.

Its not much to go by but its a deffinate starting point.

Im sure a big City like NV would have some sort of underground transport system besides the sewers...

Some improvsion on the existing Meshes, like warping them and such, plus some creative interior design mimicing the Fallout 3 tunnels e.g Smoke, burst pipes, use of other escalators etc and I am sure something can be done.

I think more realistic than a metro would be to expand upon the bullet train that carries people to new vegas, from camp mcarran. Would be cool to actually see it move, even if its just an animation, no would know the difference seeing as how you cannot even be on the tracks..
