Issue with Downloading Mods Both manually and with MO

I am not very educated when It comes to changing DNS or using a VPN. Any higher-ups have any clue as to what is going on and when it's fixed?

And yes, I live in Australia.

Neither am I, and hoenstly, i'd rahter not do something drastic like that just to download mods. It must be something on their end if it was working and then stopped working. Or even on our isps side which would be annoying.

I agree with the last responses. I'm not at all into the idea of changing my internet browser configurations or settings just for some quick-fix solution. This is clearly a bigger problem than that anyway. Btw, I just checked and it is still not working. Manual downloads are still redirecting me out of the site also.

If anyone is still awake, can you provide a traceroute to filedelivery.nexusmods.com ?

Not successfully, no.

Edit: I'm connecting via ADSL through IInet but over a copper PSTN connection through Telstra's local junction. This is one of the only times I'll ever regret that I don't work for Telstra anymore, as I can't access any of the systems directly to find out what's going wrong.

Anyone here lucky enough to use NBN Co from the original rollout? That would rule out a Telstra connection problem as that's one of the only ways you wouldn't be using the Telstra network.

Okay, I just switched to the Google DNS instead of my default options.

I can successfully download mods.

I can successfully run a tracert to filedelivery.nexusmods.com

Would you like me to PM you the tracert results?

Edit: For anyone worried about changing their DNS, you might find the google instructions clearer than the open DNS ones.

Unless you're already specifying a DNS (in which case write it down) you don't need to do anything to preserve your previous settings as you can just click the "use default" radio button again.

2nd Edit: Sorry, just don't want to spam the thread with extra posts.

I just need to note that this isn't a viable long term solution for me. I lose all access to my ISP's unmetered content by using an alternate DNS, so I would like to be able to switch back to my regular settings so that I can watch Netflix, download through Steam, etc without using up all of my data plan.

Thanks - can you now try again on the original DNS - supposedly this problem should now be fixed.

Sorry, got distracted watching a twitch-stream.

Back to normal DNS settings now and everything is working perfectly. No more issues for me.

Thanks. :D
