envyme
Im working on a little mod and i need to change a few of the tents in the game into small trailers. give some of the world a real white trash feel. i dont know how to extract vanilla files so if someone could either make a custom trailer mesh or extract one of the small trailers from the vanilla files and post it i would greatly appreciate it. NorthWolf
They can't post a vanilla version, as it's copyrighted material. You'd be better off figuring out how to extract files on your own, most likely.
envyme
then how do they post mods that use vanilla files?
ean511
I've just figured this out a few days ago. Install FOMM, open any one of New Vegas' vanilla BSAs in the Data folder, find the asset you're looking for, and extract. Hope it helps!
envyme
and i dont have to repack these files at all? this wont remove it from the bsa will it?
tunaisafish
When you extract it, keep the same path relative to Data\Meshes\You only need to extract it so that it's easy to select in the GECK when choosing a model for your new item.It will remain in your BSA.When you release your mod, don't include the mesh too. The pathname is enough to find the right mesh in other peoples BSA when they load your mod in their game.
