It would be good to have a mod where the player voice is silent when doing power attacks.

 

It just seems silly to yell like a mad man when your doing stealth kills with melee attacks

True...wait, does the Courier still scream when you just do a simple attack (as in, not holding the attack button down?)

The Courier doesn't make a sound when doing a simple attack, but when your in sneak mode every attack is a power attack so you still get the screaming.

 

I've seen mods where the player voice has been changed to things like duke nukem voice etc, so all that would need to be done is to mute the power attack sound.

 

It just seems a bit out of place for your player to sound like a barbaric warrior if you want to be a cool and mysterious like an NCR ranger

You could find the files used for the power attack sounds and replace them with a silent .ogg file, maybe .wav works too. Use FOMM to have a peek in Fallout - Voices1.bsa and search for powerattack.
