Araxiel1911
Well, I'm having a problem where certain objects turn completely black. But instead of trying to describe my problem, just watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=027iISE7M9c http://i.imgur.com/oJRiVcE.jpghttp://i.imgur.com/lWPma5I.jpg This problem also shows up on the See-Through Scopes and the Raider Overhaul. Something all "broken" objects share in common are they have transparency and both mods recently adopted the "materials" folder. I checked archive validation and everything is set up right (went through this multiple times, checking every step): http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Fallout_4_Mod_InstallationThe files are there; I re-downloaded the mods just now and it's still the same. The normal Gas-Mask-With-Goggles or previous versions of See-Through Scopes and Raider Overhaul weren't/aren't giving me this issue. My GPU is an AMD Radeon R9 200 Series with the newest driver. I can barely find anything on this problem, and everyone else that seems to have it, hasn't found any solution either (except in one case, where apparently the download got corrupted). xBeksimx
Look at the Bullets and bones gas mask pitch black no texture under the bugs tab http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9103/?
Araxiel1911
Look at the Bullets and bones gas mask pitch black no texture under the bugs tab http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9103/? Look at what I wrote: The files are there; I re-downloaded the mods just now and it's still the same. Why do I even bother writing out everything, when someone just spouts the first thing in their mind without reading what I wrote? And yes, I also uninstalled everything, every single mod except Raider Overhaul and See-Through scopes and the problem was still there. xBeksimx
that post makes out its not about that they are there. its the file size you have on them. I was trying to genuinely help you as that guy did have the same issue. might not be same cause. but i dont have that info as its a matter of file size. are your texture files 0b? cause you did not provide that info. you didnt know to, as it wasnt relevant. You getting snappy is uncalled for. but either way. that was only my first suggestion. so get back to me once you verify your file size. Why do I even bother writing out everything, when someone just spouts the first thing in their mind without reading what I wrote?
Araxiel1911
You getting snappy is uncalled for. but either way. that was only my first suggestion. so get back to me once you verify your file size. Why do I even bother writing out everything, when someone just spouts the first thing in their mind without reading what I wrote? I'm sorry. I'm just really frustrated when I give someone a lot of information and show I did my research and tried a lot of different things; and they come back with "have you tried turning it on and off again?" treating me like an idiot, or at the very least someone completely uninformed. I know you were trying to help out of your own volition. I thought by stating I re-downloaded and re-installed it, that the files being there was already established. Anyways, right after posting I edited my post with screenshots showing the files are there and seem to be in order.
xBeksimx
and all the files are within the data folders where they should be inside your fallout 4 game folder? Edited April 3, 2016 by xBeksimx
Araxiel1911
Yeah, and the files seem to work fine; The .BGSM file is open and editable, the .dds are fine.
xBeksimx
ok... did you edit the ini's within your fallout 4 folder? try that. i had that issue a lot with skyrim. like my game just ignore the files in "My documents"
Araxiel1911
Yeah, that all seems to be in order, too. Especially since the other 130 mods are all working fine. Even the mods themselves are working fine. It's only this one highly specific issue with transparency. While writing that I searched for other mods with objects with transparencies...and unsurprisingly, the glasses from Apocalypse Accessories - Glasses - Scarves - Bags have the exact same issue (just completely black).
