CrimsonGuardian
Hey guys, I wanted to ask something. I want to install OOO but I've made a little mistake. I downloaded the stand alone exe(OOO 1.3 exe) fil thinking it was just a new thing that installed the mod more easily for the inexperienced modders, turns out I was wrong. I extracted the files and copied them in my data folder directory. I usually use Mod Manager and I happen to have the archive version of the latest OOO(OOO 1.33 Complete). If I try installing it using Mod Manager, won't it cause some kind of conflict because I already extracted the exe files in my data folder directory? Thank you. Oopsie, wrong sub forum. Can a mod move this to troubleshooting please? Thanks. Edited June 22, 2011 by CrimsonGuardian
micalov
It will warn you about overwriting, but if its the same version, it should not course any problems just overwriting the files.
Mortrix927
Actually, it shouldn't cause any conflict at all. When you do the OMOD, you might get a dialogue that says "(such and such) already exists, overwrite?" Say "yes" or "yes to all" if given the option. You should then be fine. When you say you got the .exe, did you mean you got the stand alone for v. 132, or the patch to upgrade 132 to 133? Or did you get both? Either way, .exe is "executable file" (I'm sure you know this.) You don't need to extract anything, you just click on the file-adjust the installation path as needed (it should do so itself, but sometimes the creators make mistakes, too. Else, sometimes users have a non standard path.) If you were doing the patch, it won't do anything if you already have 133.
