rinoaff33
I personally have never heard of installing OBGE using Bash at all (although I barely use Bash, so...), but it runs perfectly fine with a manual install and it is easy to deactivate (just move or delete the obge.dll and it'll stop working). Oh, also, personal tip, add another folder in data (or somewhere else, to be safer) to store unused shader files, not sure if the game still loads those not on the shaderlist but I believe it does, just doesn't use them. Edit: What version of OBGE are you using? Is the downloaded compressed file called OBGE core? The shaders are found on the tesnexus page I believe - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=30054 . It's called OBGE Standalone Effects (looks like a brand new version, by the way). Shoe5225
th one in the data/plugin folder?
Shoe5225
If you dont mind helping me out further here is the exact list of things I have downloaded and installed onto this game that carry the potential of killing it for me.. Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE), Oblivion Graphics Extender (OGE), NifSE,NifScript DUMMY, 1st Person Legs mod, HUD Status Bars mod, Drop Lit Torches Obse mod, Wrye Bash Yep, thats all of them. Hold on.. Check this out I got it off the N-whatever mod "The "Missing Mesh" glitch: certain BSA (Bethesda Softworks Archive) files do not seem to work with the BSA-reading code that NifSE b:2 and earlier used. It is unclear what causes this problem; b:3 and later simply call Oblivion's own code to avoid the issue. Using Deadly Reflex 6 to throw any weapon contained in such a BSA causes a Missing Mesh error. Extracting these meshes from the problematic BSAs fixes the issue." I downloaded the b-2 mod, and half my face is missing, and if my face is part of this mesh thing then bingo... but what would explain the lack of a HUD? Or the panel that you use to make a new character.. Man, I'm lost Edited June 23, 2011 by Shoe5225
rinoaff33
th one in the data/plugin folder? Are you using OBSE? My plugins folder is located with data/obse/plugins. But yes, that one. (I may be giving misinformation here due to OBGE apparently having been very recently updated...) Edit: The HUD mod there is probably what's making your screen invisible. Edit2: NifSE specifically says to use Beta 2 when using Deadly Reflexes. Did you get Beta 3 (aka 1.0) instead? Edit3: The 1st person legs mod says that your character may turn invisible when wearing rings + gloves due to an OBSE limitation. Edit4: I think the main problem here is simply installing too much at one time. Can you try uninstalling the mods and putting them back on one bit at a time to find the culprit here? You're having a lot of issues at one time on your game it seems. Edited June 23, 2011 by rinoaff33
Shoe5225
I edited my comment above, and all mods are currently off so it has to be one of these plugin add ons, right?
rinoaff33
I edited my comment above, and all mods are currently off so it has to be one of these plugin add ons, right? Yes, but plugins aren't the only mods that don't have ESP files (meshes, textures, etc.) If possible, can you uninstall via OBMM any mods that won't be too much hassle to reinstall? (body mods, etc.) Edit: This may be a bit overkill, but baby steps are essential in troubleshooting. Edit2: Get rid of OBGE for now and worry about that later once you've fixed the real issues at hand. Edit3: So I just read the install requirements for DR6...jeez that's one complex mod. Here's a basic but essential question - have you used an older version of Deadly Reflex before, and if so, did you uninstall it completely? Edit4: See if you can get it to run without the HUD Status Bars, seeing as it's not required - that may fix the invisible HUD, at least. Shoe5225
using the obse launcher what does "with" or "without" are these refering to the mods? Edit: okay, removing OBGEv2.dll from the obse plug in folder made the game work again, like perfectly again. Now what do I do? rinoaff33
using the obse launcher what does "with" or "without" are these refering to the mods? Can you uninstall the Hud Status Bars temporarily to see if that helps any? Better yet, just uninstall anything related to Deadly Reflex and see if the problem persists. Edit: By perfectly, do you mean no missing meshes, etc.? Edited June 23, 2011 by rinoaff33
Shoe5225
Not using any mods atm. Everything is working. It was OBGE after all, how do I go about making this thing work now.. btw, as I mentioned above all I did was remove the .dll in the obse plugin folder edit: sorry for leaving comment all over the place and by perfectly, meaning as good as Vanilla is. No meshes missing or anything, just plain ol' vanilla edit 2: no, I was on the console version and picked up this game 2 days ago, never used deadly reflex before just was attracted to it by the cutting of limbs and what-not.
