rinoaff33
After browsing through the new OBGEv3 stuff, it looks like it's more than a bit buggier than OBGEv2 was (and that's saying something). Make sure that you've put all of the core files into the Data folder. I don't see how OBGE can cause the interface to screw up so badly, as I've never seen such or heard of it. Edit: I can't believe I didn't ask this earlier, but do you have AA on? It doesn't work with OBGE. Edit2: Also, could you explain exactly what the issue is or provide a screenshot? Does the problem ONLY occur when you enable OBGE? It seems like this topic has been meandering a bit and some clarification could be useful. Shoe5225
Lol, I will reenact the glitch and provide you with a screen shot. What is AA?
rinoaff33
AA is anti-aliasing, found under video options (you may have to disable it outside the game). OBGE flat out does not work with it on - it will disable the options on the main menu to prevent you from accessing the game and making it flip out even more. Edit: Also, here's a random thought - do you have Better Cities? I recall that it and DR do not get along well. Edit2: Disregard that last edit, considering that I'm not entirely certain on that. Edit3: After browsing through comments, it's mentioned that the bloodsplatters in Deadly Reflex (the part that requires OBGE) can cause CTDs...so I wouldn't recommend using that particular ESP. If all else fails, you can just skip using OBGE. Edited June 23, 2011 by rinoaff33
Shoe5225
No, I do not have that mod, as for AA.. it was on 4x. I dont recall turning that on though.. here is a screen shot of what it is I see, excuse the open windows, oblivion didnt wanna take a normal wide screen shot.. anyway, you take a look at this and im going to retry the obge now that i took off AA edit: sorry that took a long time, had to do some MAJOR cropping on paint.. ugh.. anyway, here it is
Shoe5225
The AA thing working! You, my lady, are a genius xDD If I could throw more kudos to you I would, disabling the AA did the trick, no more of that junk you see in that pic lol Sweet! Now time to edit those files to set the properties right for DR and HOPEFULLY no more issues :D

Now time to edit those files to set the properties right for DR and HOPEFULLY no more issues :D My lady? Wow, does typing with correct spelling and grammar make me female over the internet? Anyway, wow that is one F'd up glitch, and that was the first time I've seen the AA thing glitch up more than usual (much, much, much more than usual...) Glad it's working. :) By the way, some tips about OBGE: To compensate for no AA, use the NormalFilterAA.fx shader (may have to edit it a bit to make it look not-so-blurry, but it certainly looks nice). Use obsharpen.fx to make everything look...well...sharper, as if you had some super high-resolution textures (I recommend setting it to 5 or 6 to compensate for the blurry AA). I also would recommend godrays.fx but it sometimes bugs out with nighteye, which is luckily easily fixed by temporarily disabling godrays, saving, then re-enabling it. To make the lighting on the game look really impressive aka not as cartoonish and video-gamey use either ColorEffects (will require some tweaking) or ENBColorEffect (I use the former but either works). SSAO looks nice (unless it's foggy) but causes framerate drops sometimes (Ring_SSAO and Volumetric_SSAO are relatively fast however). Depth of Field is nice (I personally don't like the extra blurriness though) but it gets annoying if you play in 3rd person. All these are from the optional separate shader pack by the way. rinoaff33
All of those things I listed are shaders that OBGE can use (they all end in .fx). You can use any combination by creating a file named shaderlist.txt in the Oblivion/data/shaders folder and listing them. It's not at all necessary to use them if you don't want the extra hassle, though.
