Vagrant0
That's completely sick !!!!! Must be one of the best animation makers alive. Someone should contact with this guy and make to make a acrobatic mod.He quit modding... That is why he released his stuff. It's been brought up a few times. Not many people can do this since they don't have the motion capture rig to get the animations. Beyond that, there really isn't any point to it. All the animations that you could add would exist as idle animations, which means that no transition through space would actually take place. Even in that demonstration this is mentioned, the actor doesn't actually move from the starting spot, it just looks like they do.
Sypron
It is possible to change an animation, but that effects everyone every time. For instance, if you change the jump animation, every NPC gets it aswell. Sometimes this is reasonable though.
st delyn
I agree with Vagrant. The actor doesn't moves further than her starting point. And what is the point of a Butterfly kick in game?

And what is the point of a Butterfly kick in game?It looks cool for NPCs probably in battle or something like that ,To vagrant0: What is the name of the tools you need to make a normal animation such as a kick or a rifle movement , I haven't seen any tutorial's around for that. Thanks in advance/Martin

Thanks in advance/MartinThere aren't any tutorials because there aren't many people who have managed to make new animations, and most of them are professional modelers using 3dsmax or similar professional programs. The templates linked are about as good as you'll get. As for adding kicking or other attack animations. You can't, not without replacing one of the current attack animations and totally screwing things up. Kicks cannot be done period, the leg doesn't count as a weapon, damage would not be registered. Rifle animations would have to be done on staffs, and would replace all staff attacks. Would also have to adjust all the other staff animations, to transition properly with that new attack (equip, unequip, run, walk, strafe left, strafe right, fast left, fast right, sneaking forwars, sneaking backward, sneak left, sneak right, walk backward, runbackward, block, idle, swim forward, swim idle, swim backward, swim left, swim right, and you get the idea) or else it won't look right. Naturally this is in addition to the hours spent refining that single animation to look right with the weapon in hand. Would probably also require replacing all the existing staff meshes with one that could be held right. All that, and you'd still be shooting fireballs. And trying to do it with the bow attack instead would be much harder, and require dozens more changes.

I hope bethsda softworks makes it easier to add animations such as kicks and not screwing things up , I hope bethsda makes it easier next Elder scrolls game. Sypron
Some games can have simultaneous animations running for the top and bottom halves of the body. Does oblivion support this?
Vagrant0
Some games can have simultaneous animations running for the top and bottom halves of the body. Does oblivion support this?I think it does support this for idles atleast. The main issue regarding any new non-idle animations is that there is no way to link them since all the animations are hard coded to weapon types, or are being used by everyone. While it might be possible to replace some of these animations based on the NPC (with SI) it would probably require changing them at the NPC in the CS, and still be just as limited and problematic as anything else. Honestly, didn't have SI installed long enough to really look into it.
