Wanted: Decent model/texture work, scripting tutorial

So far as texture reqs, I have absolutely no idea. I'm not sure right off how it was handled for NV (I came in -really- late, and all the work I ever did was fleshing out a few existing ammo types, using assets that were already there), but from what I saw last time I looked, it's just one texture set per cartridge/box.

I did a bit of research on texturing today, stumbled upon this thread: http://niftools.sourceforge.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=6316

I might look at the tools currently used to extract/repackage game files and try to figure out exactly whatever is going on with the textures, but that'll require me to find some free time to sit down with FO4 stuff and figure out a workflow. Unless someone can point me to valid documentation on an already existing workflow, because I can't seem to find much/any at the moment.

 

FO4 texturing sounds screwy (as expected), I've seen someone describe it as a "metal/gloss" workflow and I can't honestly wrap my mind around it without either a functioning guide or some time with the assets.

I'll give you an update as I figure things out.
