I'm not sure right off how it was handled for NV (I came in -really- late, and all the work I ever did was fleshing out a few existing ammo types, using assets that were already there), but from what I saw last time I looked, it's just one texture set per cartridge/box. Unless someone can point me to valid documentation on an already existing workflow, because I can't seem to find much/any at the moment. FO4 texturing sounds screwy (as expected), I've seen someone describe it as a "metal/gloss" workflow and I can't honestly wrap my mind around it without either a functioning guide or some time with the assets.I'll give you an update as I figure things out. I'm gonna wait for the next CK beta update before I get started actually making new items, until then I'll work on sourcing images to base textures/models off of.
