then open parts of the mesh was just something I tried to see if it would work with the look, most likely won't be part of the release aside from just the new texture and base mesh assets.

You should contribute this to open faced helmets. Now we just need the same thing for "Masque of Argonian Vile", and a conversion of that for Khajiit.
