need mesh help(don't have 3ds max 2016)

I need help editing a mesh file from the base game to be a new mesh for a mod, or for a new mesh to be made from scratch to suit the purpose of the mod. What I need is for "AnimObjectBook.nif" to be edited to be a fully open book, rather than partially open, to be used as a static/door type object once the GECK comes out. I can do the texturing for the mesh and I know roughly how Nifskope worked on Fallout 3. Because I don't have the ability to edit the mesh myself I can't actually do this part of the mod at this time.

 

For right now with the Alpha version of the mod this is the only mesh currently needed. Texture help may be needed down the line, but for this book mesh I have the texture components already prepared for this. I would need the right hand page of the open book to support a seperate texture from the left hand page of the open book in the texturemapping, the front and back covers can use the same location on the texture map as they will be the same.

 

TLDR; need AnimObjectBook.nif turned into fully open book on table static/door nif file with texture mapping for 2 different pages or new mesh that meets requirements and don't have a program that can edit Fo4 nif mesh.

You can get Maya and 3ds max for free by signing up as a student, but it looks like a simple edit so you can try outfit studio, the tools might be enough to do what you need.

wouldn't they ask for verification for that?

Also, how would outfit studio turn a animation object into a static object?

In that case, maybe you have in your friends someone who is a student and can sign up for you?

I'm asking HERE for help with this. I'm going to need mesh help with this mod eventually anyway, as well as texture help. What I don't get is why it seems like nobody ever seems to offer to actually help with a mod if it doesn't involve breasts or "sexy" stuff.

 

I thought the mod community was supposed to help each other, not treat everything as a free for all. We are all modders working in the same community, we are not businesses fighting for the same player base.

 

Sorry, that was a bit of built up frustration I needed to get off my chest.
