shvringmnky
I created a new NPC for a quest I'm trying to make. There is a script attached to him (to advance the quest). He was copied off a pre-existing NPC that had minimal usage. His clothes are all from Vanilla Oblivion. The interior cell I used (HouseLowerInterior03) is from Vanilla Oblivion. I placed him in the middle of the room. I tested his placement by activating the Havok engine--no problems. I tested the cell in-game, and couldn't find the NPC anywhere. Turns out, he was floating UNDERNEATH the house, for no apparent reason. He was doing a staggered, resetting fall. I could talk to him, kill him, and the quest advanced as normal. But why won't my NPC appear in the house? Does it have something to do with collision? Pathgrids? I can't figure it out. He doesn't even have any AI packages at the moment. I will provide more information if necessary. Help would be GREATLY appreciated, thank you in advance!
shvringmnky
Also, for masters to the mod I'm using MidasSpells.esp, AcolyteofkynarethHGEC.esp, SM_Enchantstaff.esp, and VampireRaceReloaded.esp. I accidentally saved the mod recently while these were in their natural esp format (I had forgotten to esmify them with wrye bash). If this helps/is important. fg109
There is no cell called "HouseLowerInterior03" in vanilla Oblivion. I guess you could call it a building block for a cell. So your interior cell probably does not have path grids. You can see whether or not your cell has path grids by typing "TogglePathGrid" into the console while playing, or else by clicking the path grid icon (the one with the blue and red dots) in the Construction Set. If you really don't have a path grid, you'll need to create one. Here is a simple tutorial.

shvringmnky
Thank you very much for the advice. When I checked the pathgrid, it was all underneath the house. I'll get to fixing this right away, you've been most helpful.
