Stumped on stockings.

:wallbash: First we have this mod here: http://www.newvegasnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=39376 Which has a nice assortment of stockings.But the stockings clip. Exactly how? The hem at the thighs seem to want to think that the BR (body replacement) has the thighs of a well toned foot ball player and not a lithe taut smooth thigh of a Type 3 Dimonized base body.

 

I remember constantly using this mod when mixing and matching in FO3 with lings things and it worked fine.

Now to the best of my knowledge both mods are using the same BR and the same Mesh. (stocking mesh confirmed nif skope.)

I've applied the mesh from the FO3 version to the NV version to the same result of strange deformity and clipping.

And I've tried multiple T3 body types to try and match the mesh that the stockings might be trying to come up with to no avail. (this ranges from T3 alice, berry, cali, base HD, and slim, BOG t3 Berry, Cali, and Base)

 

So the question of the day is, what the heck is going on?

 

SUMMERY:

1. None of the meshes on NewVegas want to work. and when the meshes that work on FO3 are placed on New Vegas the same clipping problem results. (IE taking the Working FO3 Mesh and overwriting the mesh on NV)

2. Tried Matching to the mesh. I would shut down, change the body type, load back up, and be greeted by the same strange clipping problem every time regardless of body mesh.

3. ???

4. Face plant Fask Desk and Wall bash at confusion.

5. Post on the forums. That's what's going on here now. hopefully I dont have to go further.

My guess- the mesh is the stockings only, no body. It uses one of th add-on slots. It is made for a specific body (berry, Alice, etc). Whichever body it is made for is not the one you are using, hence it doesn't fit.

That's just it, I can't think of any other body that the stockings are using. I tried matching to the mesh. Well either way I've rather given up on those meshes and I'm wondering how to make a mod myself.

I believe I have all the tools but the tutorials are a really steep learning curve. I've found various clothing mods that all have working stockings meshes and permissions from the authors to use them as long as credit is given where credit is due (which it shall). I just really have no idea where to start.

After a restart, and applying Backsteppo's narrowed shoulders Female upper body, The Newvegas Stockings mod works. I'm going to do some more testing but I think I finnally found the reason it was going completely bonkers on me.
