matthew1297
I was traipsing through the recently uploaded mods and came across This Awesomeness. While the idea is cool, Gorilla armor and all, I realized the potential in it. Not in the armor, but in Gorilla based mods. Bethesda designed models, animations, sounds, and dropped items all for an enemy (or possible NPC) that only appears twice in the game. There is such untapped potential to make mods there. You could have a mod that simply adds gorillas into wasteland as regular enemies. That'd be neat. And since there's already a Gorilla armor mod, perhaps so much Gorilla meat lets you craft a piece. You could make a King Kong quest mod which adds a giant mutated gorilla into the game, having survived since before the war or something like that, and you have to kill it at the top of a tall building or something. Finally, what'd be awesome, is that you could have a Planet of the Apes mod. Replace the models of every human character in the game (minus Father, Shaun, pre-war characters, and the Sole Survivor themselves) all with gorillas. That'd be awesome. You'd be one of the last human from the past (like from Planet of) looking for the other last humans from the past among a bunch of other human-like beings whom the apes control. It's already perfect. Anyway, I'm not smart enough to make any of this so anyone who wants to take one of my genius ideas or come up with their own gorilla based mod is welcome too. TLDR: We need Gorilla mods. They would be gifts to humanity. This needs to happen.
CyrusAmell
While I have had limited experience with the synthetic gorillas in the Institute myself, I believe that they are partly a re-texture of Yao Guai and use the same attack animations and audio. It is still an interesting asset to have in a Fallout Game but I don't think it is quite the game changer that one would hope for.
zanity
Post GECK, they could be made a 'planet of the apes' faction that really hate the super mutants. And hopefully given building mesh hints that would allow them to climb and leap around above ground level.

matthew1297
And, directly on topic: Go ape! =^[.]^= That is totally on target. Here, I figured out how to make the happy face button work  While I have had limited experience with the synthetic gorillas in the Institute myself, I believe that they are partly a re-texture of Yao Guai and use the same attack animations and audio. It is still an interesting asset to have in a Fallout Game but I don't think it is quite the game changer that one would hope for. Yeah, that makes some sense I suppose. A lot, now that I think of it, and that's a bit disappointing. While I understand they probably wanted to conserve effort, a new enemy in entirety would be awesome. robhartman9
I thought it was about to get nasty when the PC was talking to Preston. Like something on animal planet.

seekingthesun
Has anyone been able to have gorillas as settlers in the vanilla game? I think you might have to do the railroad ending. I was modding and I noticed that Gorillas...SpoilerAre enabled as a institute refugee. Has anyone had successful institute refugees? Have you ever had Gorillas? Because it's in the game, but I never chose that ending.
