steve40
I'm surprised that I haven't seen this bug reported elsewhere, so I'll open a discussion here. I've also left a bug report on Bethesda.net. I hope Beth will take note and do something about it. Issue: flickering lights are largely broken in Fallout 4, that is, the lights show in-game but won't flicker. Observation 1: hand-placed Light references DO flicker (and shadows react accordingly), but after a quicksave/quickload they no longer flicker until the game is restarted. Observation 2: Lights that are added to an object via AddOnNodes in the mesh NEVER FLICKER, even if they are configured to do so. Observation 3: Lights that are added to an object indirectly via a Magic Effect, Enchantment, Spell, Explosion, Activator or any other method just simply won't flicker at all. Observation 4: Lights that are added to the game as a reference using a script DO FLICKER. But similar to Observation 1 above, the flickering breaks after a quicksave/quickload until the game is restarted. Edit: disabling/enabling the light reference will make it start flickering again. Nb. my Fallout 4 version is 1.4.132. The flickering light issue was also present in the previous version 1.3.47 Nb 2. I'm talking about Lights that have the "flicker" flag enabled of course. I have actually found a work-around for this bug and am able to add working flickering lights to constructible objects via script, but I'm still investigating the problem. Edit: I guess Bethesda isn't interested in fixing this bug. Edited May 10, 2016 by steve40
JuJooGuppy
Yeah, I recall seeing the flicker awhile back, but now lately I don't actually see it on any of the lights (My mod has the flag enabled on the braziers it has, doesn't seem to show for me).Thought I was going crazy, glad I am not.
