Questions about making mod patches with F04Edit...

Looking at making a patch for two mods which I enjoy using, but have a conflict. One modifies the damage of weapons, the other the weight, but only the last loaded one has effect.

I opened up FO4Edit and reviewed the conflicts, and I see that all of the information for weapons is included in both sets of records - damage, weight, everything. So because both mods include a complete copy of the vanilla values, the one loaded last will always override the changed values from the one loaded first.

So this brings up the first question - can you include only the changed information in a record and leave the rest of the fields empty so that the values from other mods / Fallout4 carry through?

Second, if that's not the case, how does patching work in terms of what to include in the patch? In this example, it would need to include the changed damage from one mod and the changed weight from the other in the same records, and all vanilla values otherwise, correct? And if any other mods changed the same record in any way, those changes would need to be included in the patch mod, right?

Thanks for any help!
