aelinat Posted April 9, 2016 Share Posted April 9, 2016 I've got some real weirdness going on with AQFH2 - Like a Diamond in the Sky. I'm at the door to Vault HV5/108. When I activate the security panel I get a pop-up message saying "Welcome to the HV5/V 108 Emergency Vault! Access Granted" So far, so good. Then when I click OK, I get another message saying "You don't have the electronic security key. Access denied." This is where the weirdness begins - two different kinds of weirdness, in fact. Firstly, the message won't go away - I can click OK until my finger falls off, it just keeps popping up. And secondly, I'm pretty sure I DO have said electronic security key. I dredged through FO3Edit in the hopes of finding out what was wrong - I'm no expert, by any means, but sometimes I can figure out what's going on. If I'm reading it correctly, the "electronic security key" I need is the Vault Door Activator, which is sitting prettily as a Quest Item in my inventory. So I guess my question is twofold: have I missed something in the game that makes the Vault Door Activator work, and/or is there something wrong with the mod? And can I fix it? I even dropped it and gave myself a new one with the console, just to make sure, and the same thing happens. The Security Panel is apparently not recognizing that I have it, for some reason. Or possibly it's recognized and then removed it from my inventory, but then the script goes into an eternal "access denied" loop. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Purr4me Posted April 11, 2016 Share Posted April 11, 2016 (edited) Click console, click on the terminal and type "unlock" and see what happens Or even the door?damm ! just remembered, it's a decryption key, and the code is received at the hide out.....Go east young man...go east !, davari has news for you ,the encrypted info...and then with that code...now things open up. a string of events seen i the geck ,when the geck is set up to view actions of the connecting points, there is a fine line to follow. aelinat Posted April 11, 2016 Author Share Posted April 11, 2016 right, I did finally just unlock the door with the console, but then my quest doesn't update (the quest marker stays at the door to the vault), and I really don't like to cheat anyway. East, huh? To where? And why? Not that I'm questioning you, but the game hasn't given me any indication that I should look elsewhere. Or it has, and i missed it. I even installed the GECK in my desperation, but newbie that I am, I haven't figured out how to get into AQFH2 because it doesn't want to load "multiple master files" ... grrr. Purr4me Posted April 11, 2016 Share Posted April 11, 2016 east to the outpost ,speak easy ,tasks at hand. but the game hasn't given me any indication that I should look elsewhere.If that were to take place? there would be no fun in it, ah, the steps taken must be earned, and yes, you have not earned the rights. you require a fusion gen to e on your person before entering that vault.and a cable?...some thing of sorts, but the decryption info is not a key, it is like that of a note given to you By Davari.Outpost / hideout is where you need to go. it's been a long time hun, and I have played the series to death.
