game's running very choppy

Recommended Posts

when i installed the game it said i could run it on medium settings but i cant even run it on low with out the frame rate being so low its unplayable. i just bought a new asus u43 series laptop. its got an intel core i5cpu 2.67ghz and 6gb of ram. I'm really not that knowledable about computers so i don't know if maybe the game can't run on my laptop but i can run starcraft 2 just fine. Also when i installed the game it wouldn't let me put in the activation code, like i couldn't type anything in then i just hit ok and it installed the patch, i don't know if that has anything to do with it. any help would be apreciated thanks

It`s quite possible that you have a laptop with optimus technology . Can you post back with the full set of numbers for your laptop and i will be more than glad to look it up for you . For example ASUS U43JC-X1

before you even update your graphics driver did you try disabling: ubersampling, dangling objects limit, cinematic depth of field, lowering the shadow quality and the shadow lights, also set the LOD distance to near try this on your video setttings see if it helps? If not google this "laptop video 2 go". Make sure to read around and download the correct graphics driver for your card. They should also give you instructions on how to install the graphics driver. I had a laptop about 3 years ago and I used to frequent that site for graphics driver, sorry I can't be of much help. What I had learned from that site before, now is just a blur to me.

This should be the download page for your laptop...i assumed that since you have 6 GB of ram that you have windows 7 64 bit

http://support.asus.com/download.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=U43F&p=3&s=263&os=30&hashedid=DDYODBVDy72otwY4

It also appears that you have an Intel GMA HD video chip you can verify by right clicking "computer"and select manage and on the left side select device manager and expand by clicking the plus sign next to display adaptors . I would also recommend getting all available updates .
