avianmosquito
My copy of the GECK is malfunctioning, otherwise I'd do this myself, but I have a request. Could somebody make a script? One that checks all characters in a cell for child flags, (The 'ischild' function should work.) and if they are flagged as a child, unflag them automatically. (In this way, the character will not be marked as a child, without making any other changes.) For some reason, just undoing the flags in the race section of the GECK won't do it, and I have having to open up the Gamebyro console every time I turn around is getting old. Gamester565
So... You want a script that turns kids into adults on entrance of the cell but you don't want them to be adults stat wise or size wise? avianmosquito
I just want the flag removed. The flag makes them invulnerable, untargetable and unable to use most activators. It does nothing else, so nothing else needs to change. Effectively, this is letting them remain children, but tricking the machine into believing they are adults. ghostrecon123
i'd like to have something similar like this, make them targetable, not invulnerable, not ghost, but essential so they don't die, just get knocked unconscious

I dislike the concept of immortal characters.
ghostrecon123
that's easy, removing essential is just a check box so an optional file would do, as for me i don't like having dead kids laying around, and some kids are quest essential Edited June 27, 2011 by ghostrecon123
avianmosquito
that's easy, removing essential is just a check box so an optional file would do, as for me i don't like having dead kids laying around, and some kids are quest essential Quest essential is okay, until the quest is over. That's what we do for everyone else, and I'm only trying to be fair. I don't like dead kids either, but I can't think of one instance where they are in harms way unless the player attacks them, and when I play that's not going to happen. And in all honesty I mostly want the flags removed because of the activator issue. I just went through over a thousand activators and to check them to be usable by children. Only ten were already checked. I do not want to do that again, and I have some future mod ideas that require those activators be used by children, and that allow the player to be a child. nivea
The immortal and being registered as a "child" is because the game makers went the extra mile so people could not easily kill them all. It is tied to the body mesh name and location, you will need to change all the child mesh locations and then edit the races. Also useing clothing labeled for children can cause them to be immortal so you will need to make new outfits in different directory and give it to them instead. Odd. Then why isn't my character invulnerable? She's seven at the most, given her hieght. Right. The less things I have to change the faster this'll go, so I'm going to give them adult textures and clothing. It didn't work. The models don't show up, and cause the GECK to crash. Any solutions? If so then that is odd, because when I made my children races they had issues with child cant use items and somtimes became immortal not always though which was odd.
