avianmosquito
The immortal and being registered as a "child" is because the game makers went the extra mile so people could not easily kill them all. It is tied to the body mesh name and location, you will need to change all the child mesh locations and then edit the races. Also useing clothing labeled for children can cause them to be immortal so you will need to make new outfits in different directory and give it to them instead. Odd. Then why isn't my character invulnerable? She's seven at the most, given her hieght. Right. The less things I have to change the faster this'll go, so I'm going to give them adult textures and clothing. Is she useing the default races and child clothing and child bodies? If so then that is odd, because when I made my children races they had issues with child cant use items and somtimes became immortal not always though which was odd. I created a custom race trying to get around the 'unusable' equipment, but it she still registered as a child, even with the flag removed. So I clicked 'child can use' on 1000+ activators so the game would be playable. She was never invulnerable though, that didn't happen. I actually looked and found out why. Children are only set to be untargetable in VATS and to ignore friendly hits. Enemy hits still count, so they're not invulnerable, just friendly fire-proof. Still, I need to get the game to pretend they aren't children or I have to check all those activators all over again when I make my new mod. And that will be long, slow, boring and painful. Have you, by chance, already done this or know anyone who has? If so, please direct me to the download link. It will save me a lot of time and frustration. nivea
Yeah I have my own children mod up on nexus, its like I said you need to make copies of all the child meshes you are going to use and move them and rename them. You can look at my mod but not use it in any way in your mod, please dont name everything the same either... that would be rude to cancel out my child body mod. lol Edited June 28, 2011 by nivea
