Do you know good mods packs

Oblivion mods are legions, but often alone...

Mods packs i know are not balanced, incomplete, and often propose mods that aren't easy to install.

So, after a time, i felt unsatisfied and began to do my own mods packs.

I choose to use obmm, and to compile in omod versions.

I'm still on developing the first part of my project.

I choose to begin with overload 4.0 and improve it so it'll be compatible with my others beginning sections mods, and with OOO MMM FFF. The job is going well so that i'm near the end of my begin'smod pack.

But, i've just do this job only for me and not yet share it with others. Now that i think seriously to upload my first mods, i want to know if this kind of mods packs already exists (as for exemple the convergence project). So that i won't post mods that already exist, better than mine.

I will welcome your comments with impatience.

about your first mod, i have to say basic stuff is placing things, like making a jungle with plants, which i did for MW, but that was laagy

then make some containers(duplicate and modify) and NPC's afterwards(same method), then rest is your own choice

Thanks for the time you took to at my request.

In fact, I actually know what I want to do in my mods, and I have plenty of ressources already download. Even too much! I won't program but just gather the best mods of others modders. Test them. Make choices. And Gathers them so they'll work well together.

What I want to know, it is: "is there anyone else that have done this kind of work before?".

So I'll win time and also will improve my own mods. Seeing what are the choise of others modders will be hepfull to me.

I've seen several attempts to do this at the official forums, but afaik release failed in all of these cases because of a) permission issues from the modders whose mods should be bundled and b) modpreferences are so different that most users don't like such premade bundles because there's always some components included they don't want. Another argument against such a project is that it would be extremely hard to maintain it, keep every mod included up to date, include compatibility patches etc. I think the best you can get is FCOM, as dev_akm works closely together with the makers of OOO, MMM and Fran's.

Okay

I'll think about it

I'm surprise about permission issues.

I was thinking that except officials bet mods, the others were open source with free share

They are - technically all mods belong to Bethesda and can be freely distributed, though it's not entirely clear how mods with custom meshes and textures have to be handled. On the other hand, I don't recommend taking other people's work and distribute it as your own without permission, you will be outlawed from the modding community forever. This issue comes up again from time to time since Morrowind modding started, and believe me, everybody who has tried it has regretted it. Normally there should be something about redistribution in every readme, and I know that a lot of modders want to be asked / informed when and how their mod is redistributed.
