I'm a bosmer archer for the moment. Using a few nice archers mods and OOO so i have animals as an ally.

I have a few other characters that i can explain shorty.

Arius , An Breton using powerful ancient magic and Have a mighty dragon on his side.

Kyneth , An Imperial battlemage.

Myneth, An aggresive theif that doesn't care about the thieves guild or the dark brotherhood , Wouldn't tweak to kill someone if they got is his way.

I do a mixture of everything except the magic stuff. I am basically a sinister assassin and not-so-petty theif, that plays up to the public and high rank people that forces them to labour under the illusion that I am a good character.

Hi, I just started and I have an Imperial Nightblade. At this point in newbness he is using Stealth to avoid getting his butt kicked and is almost at level 50 with it, not too bad considering it was minor skill. Backstabbing is fun!!! He uses destruction and engages the enemy with a Silver Longsword or Chilrend and shield while strafing or backpedaling (I know cheesy). Occasionally full out run like a chicken in vampire lairs.

While I hope to keep strength going, I really want to cripple my enemies so much that I can just poke them with a fork. That probably won't happen but I'm definitely into the idea of it and will keep trying to improve willpower. Seldom uses bow and he's rather uppity dude won't outright steal unless no other way.

It's basically the same for my characters. Well, maybe, maybe not. Hurhur. My characters are challenge seekers. They do EVERYTHING. Stealth attacking/stealing, direct assaulting, acrobatics, magic (to a lesser degree though)

Mostly I make them in such a way that they're cute/beautiful, but they kick major butt.

Sorry off topic but I love your sigs Magnus61, very funny & very true.

You get a Kudos for having a cool signature.

Thank you, my friend.

Regarding play styles, I did make a magic user, Rexmanthis, but after I purchased the "A" list staff at Rindir's Staffs, the game was no longer challenging. I could blast the life out of anything silly enough to confront me. Yes, I could push the difficulty bar up a notch or two, but it just wasn't fun for me.

And, I agree with you DeusXMachina, the combat system isn't tops. But I'd still rather go toe-to-toe with my crusader than bast from distance with my mage. The only ranged fighting I enjoy is using my assassin and sniping with the zoom function.

The combat style I use often depends on what I'm fighting. I always train my characters to be without any major weaknesses, with emphasis on speed, Blade, Conjuration, Marksman, and Alteration.

My current character is my favorite, and is a master of Illusion as well the other things I mentioned. She's insanely fast (159 with enchantments and no exploits), uses a wide variety of Paralyzation spells, and isn't really bad at anything. I prefer characters that can adapt to any situation presented to them.

I gave her such a high level of speed because imo there's no other attribute that gives you the same feeling of absolute dominance over your enemies like Speed. It's more fun (at least for me) to toy with them before killing them anyways, rather than just walking up, taking out the biggest weapon possible and having a slugfest.

I like to spot an enemy from far away, throw a Paralyze spell at it, then bolt over to it and beat the crap out of it before it has time to move. It's my favorite tactic, made possible by Speed. I guess if I had to classify the combat style, it would be predatory, whether involving magic or not.

Really depends on my character, I try and play with the skills I pick.

For my Monk/Rogue types, I tend to half sneak, half steamroll everything in my path. I'll only use bows if I've got any magic arrows or I picked up some good poisons.

For my Warrior/Paladin types, I tend to play defensively with lots of blocking and rolling.

For my Mage types, I unleash my most powerful damage spell until I run out of Magicka, and then proceed to hack my targets to death with a nice shortsword.

My current Character, (See sig) is basically a weapons master; He has high skills in all three fighting styles. He isn't much at blocking or sneaking, so its basically a "flail-wildly-until-they-fall-down" style.
