SnowySamurai
Yesterday my game started crashing when loading a save file.I'm not using beta/survivalYes I checked my load order and tested each mod one by one the only one that worked was the Full Dialogue mod (which I don't understand) I even checked the masters and they were all fine. I did not in anyway edit mods or download any new mods, my game was working well on the 7th but now I can't play load any characters. I can start a brand new character with all mods loaded but not play previous save's as it CTD whenever I attempt to load the characters. I can play old characters without any mods loaded except the Full Dialogue mod mentioned above.Sorry if this is wasting anyone's time, its just annoying me since I spent so long with one character and wish to use them in upcoming DLC and I couldn't find a clear solution on any of the other forum posts. mm137
This happened to me too in the last couple of days. I didn't find a good solution, but doing a clean save with no mods and then turning the mods all back on worked. Unfortunately this can screw up your save in other ways so it is hardly ideal. seekingthesun
Delete your fallout4.ini fallout4custom fallout4 prefs, fallout 4 launcher and the strings folder in fallout4/dataThen open your steam library, right click on fallout 4 and hit "properties" then the "local files" tab. under there, select "verify integrity of game cache" Then when it's done, try launching again.
