Launcher Problem

Whenever I click on "Play" in the launcher, I get the "Preparing to launch Fallout 4" dialog, then, instead of the game starting, it just goes back to the launcher. This happens whether I'm using NMM, or, the desktop icon to launch it. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Delete your fallout4.ini fallout4custom fallout4 prefs, fallout 4 launcher and the strings folder in fallout4/data

Then open your steam library, right click on fallout 4 and hit "properties" then the "local files" tab. under there, select "verify integrity of game cache"

Then when it's done, try launching again.
