Heartcloud
I was wondering if nifscope is able to separate costumes into different parts? I have this costume that I want to remove the boots and free up the "foot" slot so my character can wear some other footwear, and separate the costume into different pieces (like the add-on for DM Wardrobe by lovender), one item for each part? I don't really care about making separate icons and stuff, they can just be blank.I first tried to entirely delete the boots in nifscope, by selecting each foot-related joint (shoes, foot, calf, etc) and going to block -> delete, overwrote the original .nif file, then opened construction set and unchecked the "foot" slot that the costume occupies. But when the game goes to loading screen it will immediately crash, so I must've done something wrong there. It wasn't exactly what I wanted to have in the end (still want to have separate costume parts) but I was just playing around in nifscope.Thanks. KingGsterUK
Hmmm I've never tried it but just try it again and don't delete anything else apart from the boot mesh,
Heartcloud
I removed the joint called "shoes", and it doesn't crash the game anymore, however my character ends up with two pairs of feet (very freaky), since the feet from the costume aren't deleted, only the shoes are deleted. This is what I have right now in nifskope.http://i.imgur.com/MX7zb.jpgThe feet are still trapped in the boot position, so my in-game character has two pairs of feet.http://i.imgur.com/ED7x2.jpg

KingGsterUK
Have you tried splitting them all up into separates instead of just deleting the shoes? Select the cuirass, copy branch, open a standard cuirass in another window (from your BSA file or another mod), click on the standard cuirass, remove branch, click on NiNode, paste branch. Save it as a different name and put it in game as a new cuirass? Maybe it will work not sure. If it does rinse and repeat. Definately worth a try if you haven't done so already. Definately worth a try if you haven't done so already. It doesn't work, as there is no "cuirass" item in the clothing I'm trying to separate. It's at least 10 different attachment parts like "cylinder", "collar", and "harness". If I try to copy any of these, let's say "harness", then open a new .nif, let's say "mesh\armor\elven\F\cuirass.nif", I don't know which node I'm supposed to delete? I deleted a random one, say "spine", then try to paste it, all it says is "failed to map parent link NiNode |Bip01 L Foot"...
