Problem Installing Certain Mods

I've been having some trouble installing Natural Bodies All in One and Last Night with Morrigan. I have installed several other mods with success.

The method I am using is thus:

1. Put the folder containing files (or just files) in the override folder

2. Drag from override folder into DAmodder.

When I do that I get an error message from DAmodder that the file contains no mod.

Thanks.

Which is why you should always read the instructions for installation in the readme:

  Quote
Just place this in the override folder in the MyDocuments/Bioware/DragonAge/packages/core ("last night with morrigan")

AND:

  Quote
Installation:

Extract the 7z file with 7zip

Add the required erf file/s to your override folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\My Documents\BioWare\Dragon Age 2\packages\core\override\ ("natural bodies all in one")

Basically, there is no need, and you shouldn't put these mods in DAModder. I assume you didn't try to run the game and check if the mods were really installed and working before posting here?

Also, for (almost) all mods you should only need to use one of the 2 stepts you wrote. Either drag the downloaded mod to DAModder, OR unrar the zip/rar file to the override folder.

DA Modder (DAM) will not handle the .override format that NBAIO is in. You will need to use DA ModManager (DAMM) to install that mod. http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=277

I used to have an article about how to install/configure it, but it got wiped when they did the whole wiki thing. Here's what I'd posted-

  Reveal hidden contents

Hopefully, that will help you out.

Cheers, and enjoy

Thanks, guys. I guess I got confused because of how NBAIO is similar to other mods that require simply putting in override folder, and stuff like that. I did read the instructions, but I wasn't able to piece it all together. Also, I havent gotten to the part in the game yet where I will notice the mods I installed. I've played the game a billion times on console, so i wanted my experience on PC to be different, and thus want to know if the mods will work before I get there.

speaking of immediately noticeable.... a mod that I might recommend to use with NBAIO is "Clothed Prisoners" http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1682

Can spare you from a few unorthodox moments....

JC- No problem at all :)

Tho unfortunately, its impossible to predict that all the mods will play nicely together. Some of them don't. :(

And honestly, the instructions for NBIAO are confusing and include steps that don't need to be taken. The simplest is to unpack the .override file, and then just drag and drop it into the "installed overrides" panel of DAMM.

Another mod I might recommend, to make your conversations more pleasant is white teeth- http://www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=44

Anyways, happy gaming! :)
