I've been looking at the Vanilla fallout 3 meshes recently an noticed how it's almost always symetrical an uniform. They are more simple than the normal player made shapes, but they still look good. So I've been thinking of ways to move toward that rather than ignore it. Type 3 berry HD was a good example of a 1Mb sized mesh with extra detail, that's got to be high poly. A Vanilla body might be 300kb or so 1/4 of the size. When I ran the polyreduction script in edit mode, that alone brought the size down to 600k almost half. It highlighted some verts an I figured to check those to see if it looked okay. Anyone know about those settings or what the standards for poly count are. I don't even know how to check it.

If you are using blender v249, it shows you how many verts and faces you have selected at the very top right besides the loading bar. Edited by Nadimos
