The pain of updates/DLC and shadow rendering

Same console commands since Morrowind actually.

I have an older machine but the game usually runs ok, 40-60FPS but I get constantly hammered down to 0-5 fps for a few seconds every time the game loads a new cell. At least that is what think it is because it happens about every 20 seconds or so, and then back to smooth running again. Doesn't matter if Godrays are disabled or everything is at lowest settings.
Shadowboost seems to be of zero or little performance help. :sad:

The ini file needs tweaking, like with skyrim, you have to do the optimization yourself because Beth never bothers to do it properly. If you take some load off the GPU and the VRAM by properly editng the ini files and then using ENBoost, the shadow rendering works perfectly fine, also you should test around with the render dstance of shadows. My game looks as good as the xbox one version on a Radeon 5830HD and runs with 30-50 fps

This works just good for me, and people with small VRAM should consider downloading the optimized textures from the nexus -> File (Documents/My Games/Fallout 4/Fallout4.ini)

bForceUpdateDiffuseOnly=0

iTextureDegradeDistance0=3200

iTextureDegradeDistance1=6000

iTextureUpgradeDistance0=2400

iTextureUpgradeDistance1=5600
