painted world mod?

i ran across this screenshot:

in the images section for the Deadly Reflex mod

 

it somewhat looks borderlands-esk. (something a little different to look at)

 

this brought me to think of the painted troll world quest, and wondered if there was any mod floating around that re-textured oblivion with the painted world look.

Not that I know of, but there is a mod that uses similar Impressionist-like colors to recolor the whole game. That mod is called Lush and Gaudy Landscape and Grass and Tree Mod.

Addons for that are...

With those, I would suggest installing one of the brighter water mods like maybe Blue Lagoon, and then have a look at Weather-All Natural, and AWLS to see if those appeal to you. I think you could probably import the special weather from Painted World into Weather-All Natural by digging around in the CS. That would probably look awesome.

 

I would like to try the game in Painted World mode, but I don't think anyone has done it because that quest is missing a lot of necessary textures that would have to be added.. You might be able to get an effect somewhat similar in OBGE but I think it might be a bit more cartoony, with dark outlines. There may be some way to turn those off. I don't use that mod.

Auriel's Retreat has amazing colours, but if you download it, you really need to clean it with TES4Edit. It cleaned a lot of "mod dirt" but the mod is beautiful.

Personally, I really enjoy LS More Butterflies and Fireflies, and Autumn Trees.

 

Creature Diversity adds some brighter animals and monsters that I think would go well with Lush and Gaudy.
