KDStudios
Ah yes but the debate threads have always had that "risk".People going in thinking that the rules don't apply there as much because it's "debate" But I'm sure that we're in good hands with moderators like you around ;) http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/rolleyes.gifhttp://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/thumbsup.gif

bben46
I am very disappointed that drawing and quartering has now been removed as an option from our list of possible punishments. :whistling:
Vagrant0
I am very disappointed that drawing and quartering has now been removed as an option from our list of possible punishments. :whistling:Yes, but we're still allowed liberal usage of hot skewers, so cheer up. But in all seriousness, it's not about bowing to staff, or even being extra courteous. Frankly, I get annoyed when I know someone is trying to suck up to me or some other member of staff. The rules are easy, the environment is usually helpful and relaxed... We don't enforce the rules for the sake of the rules, we enforce them so that the environment doesn't go to crap and this place becomes just as bad as some sites out there. Think of moderators less of rulers or police, and more like super heroes from Silver Age comics. http://superdickery.com/images/stories/stupor/subs-adv306.jpg

DeadMansFist849
Chat moderators are like unpaid babysitters, who have to deal with the especially "difficult" kids. You know, the ones who threaten people, yell all the time, deliberately try to gross everyone out, snatch stuff (the pirates and people seeking ripped content), fight, and throw tantrums when they get told to stop being horrible--those are the people whom we frequently have to remove from the chat. :P I've lost count of the number of times I've been called various ridiculous things, and here are some examples: a fascist, fat (how is that an insult? heaviness doesn't make you unworthy), ugly, a girl (wtf, that's not even an insult), gay (again, really, not an insult), a bundle of sticks and "Eurotrash". Girl is an insult now? I'm so confused.

Girl is an insult now? I'm so confused.Well, people use it as an insult just like they use gay as an insult. It's not cool, but unfortunately an "everyday" part of speech, e.g. "You throw like a girl" or "You're crying like a little girl dog". Let's not get too off-topic, though. Suffice it to say, what the staff put up with from the trolls and pirates has made me realise that I could never work in tech support.
KDStudios
In the battle between moderators and the "peasants".The moderators always win. Qapla! http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/armscrossed.gif
Deleted472477User
I come here because of the moderators. It's safe here. When I want a forum that's more rough and tumble, I go to RPG Codex. for me, that's easy, but there are some people that want to apply GIFT (look it up, I shouldn't post about it here) wherever they go.
