theauntiechrist
HiHow are we all?I have a problem looking at the Nexus website. Basically I'll load the page and i hear the fans kicking in. Very soon I can't click on anything without a 10 second delay, making any browsing impossible. This has only started in the last few months, and I've been a regular viewer/downloader for years (thanks guys; you've made wonderful games into incredible armchair adventures!!). I occasionally get a java script warning associated with this, but I'm crap at the interwebz. And it's only the Nexus website. Even this area, The Nexus Forum, is fine. Any help would be greatfully appreciated. wrong place. sorry Edited April 14, 2016 by theauntiechrist
Oubliette
Have you tried emptying your browser cache and running your virus scanner? I'm not experiencing this problem myself so perhaps you've picked up something that's taxing your system.

For a while I was able to search the site at my leisure without any lag or wait times, then after a year or so I started getting the same problems you did, with lag and ridiculously long wait times for stuff to load, and sometimes things would even freeze. Well eventually I figured out the issue was apparently being caused by all of the ads running on the Nexus site, so I downloaded and installed a program called Adblock Plus and BOOM! all my lag issues went away. So that being said, you might want to look into something like that, It might fix the lag issues like it did for me.

Mythos214
I hear you. I can respect the need to offer space for adds as a primary means to keep the site running, but the way I look at it, if it's going to royally @!#$% up my experience and possibly my system in some way, then the adds need to go.
