Hello everybody...my name is timone317. I started getting into Fallout earlier this year with Fallout 3 on the Xbox 360 and I've moved on to New Vegas for the pc, and I've just now gotten into the modding community. I've loved nearly everything I've seen here, and I'm mainly posting this intro to ask a question...how can I get involved into the voice acting aspect of the mods that are made around here? I have 5 years of experience recording local musicians and I believe I have some good acting skills that I'd really like to put to use on something that involves New Vegas. But where exactly would I begin?

Thanks. I checked the site out but I was thinking of starting out with something directly related to New Vegas through this site, perhaps some sort of Super Mutant companion project but I have no knowledge in that field, save for the voice acting.

I have one more question that I was going to ask elsewhere but I think I'd get a better answer if I asked it here. What kind of hardware would I need on my computer to run Fallout smoothly at the Ultra High graphic setting with mods running? With my current game file, I have five companions and I'm sticking with the shotgun that shoots mini nukes as my weapon, and my computer can only run it at the lowest settings. Can I get some recommendations for a new laptop that can help me with that? I'd prefer laptop suggestions, thanks a lot.

I'm thinking about recording some sort of informal audition files sometime this week. I'm ultimately hoping to get two companions worked out, one super mutant and one character designed to break the fourth wall and present easter eggs. The idea is mainly inspired by that Willow companion at the New Vegas Nexus site...and if necessary, I may be willing to pay money to anyone interested to help get these projects off the ground.
