Heartcloud
I was wondering how to add custom hair to a custom race if the custom race only came with an .esm file, not an .esp? I already know how to add hairs to a custom race if it came with a .esp, but the race in question is the Lattamer race v3, and creator for some reason only provided an esm, which I doubt is editable the same way as an .esp in construction set. This is what I tried to do:- Open construction set, select both LattamerV3.esm (the race I'm trying to edit) and _Ren_beautypack_onlyhairs.esp (the hairs I'm trying to copy over to the race)- I cannot activate Lattamerv3.esm, since it's a master file, so I clicked "ok" when it said "no files are active, continue?"- Character -> race -> LattamerFemale -> bodydata- Character -> hair -> select RenHair18FCOPY0000 (the style I want to add to Lattamer race) and drag it into the hair menu in bodydata- File -> saveBut it won't allow me to save, since it's a .esm I'm editing, not a .esp, and forces me to create a new .esp for it. So I created a new .esp named "Lattamercustom", loaded it in launcher, then launched game.... and of course no changes were reflected as I doubt Lattamercustom.esp could override LattamerV3.esm.Any help is appreciated! youngvampire
Actually, thats exactly what you have to do... Save it into a new esp, put it last on the load order, and make sure both others are loaded too Or am I missing something?
Heartcloud
Thanks, but the hair is still not showing up. =/Oddly it's showing up for the race "Lattamer Standard", but not "Lattamer Less Makeup". O.oUnfortunately "less makeup" is the version I use (don't really like the heavy eye makeup), and for LattamerV3.esm in construction set I only see the race "LattamerFemale", not "standard" and "less makeup". So the less makeup version must be linked somewhere else...
fg109
The "less makeup" one must be from another mod... Do you have any other race mods somewhere? Or maybe a companion mod with a custom race?

I have:- Xenius races- Vampire reloaded- Lattamer- Blood Elf- Corean races- Human race revamped- Elves from Lineage II- Mystic elves by KRR
razorpony
Are you using a Bashed patch? I'm pretty sure that saving a new .esp means that you now have 2 cosmetic mods (if you also include Rens) and they will probably conflict. If it were me I'd just make Rens .esp the active file and save the changes you make there. RP
