Loralei
So, I don't know WHAT I was thinking exactly. I uninstalled my older version of DAO today to switch to the downloaded disk free version(Since my disk seems to be missing), which took hours. While putting my mods back in when it was finally finished, i apparently had the bright idea to put them into my programs file instead of documents. Now I can't seem to undo it, and, well.. Alistair doesn't look good in purple skin at all. Might someone direct me to a method that will allow me to restore my proper core files, or a location I can download the proper set? I can't seem to find them. I really would prefer to avoid the hours it would take to uninstall and re-download the game through EA Origin. I appreciate any help greatly! Thandal
Welcome, Loralei; Sorry about your purple Alistair! Presuming you put the mods in the folder "\Program Files [(x86)]\Dragon Age\packages\core\override", instead of where you meant to under "\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\packages\core\override", you can just cut-n-paste everything in the "wrong" override folder and put it in the "right" one. As far as an alternate location for downloading, there's this: "Single player and core resource source files", on the BSN. But maybe you have a more complex situation? Let us know. Loralei
No override. It seemed to have been dropped directly into the 'core' folder and meshed with all of the main game files to mess with all the sounds and colors. I can't just cut everything out of there because those are the main files for the whole game and it crashes it. I definitely made a big mess of it. I'm not sure those are the files I'm looking for, I can't really make sense of what they are. I very much appreciate that you're trying to help though. I'm not too knowledgeable in DA files, I know just enough to get some mods to work, heh.
Thandal
Sorry for the weekend delay, had RL events intervene. Sounds like a full un-/re-install for you. Easiest and cleanest way to recover from that sort of file mash-up. Be sure to make a copy of your "\[user's documents]\Bioware\Dragon Age\charcters" folder first so if things go wonky you've still got your saves. (Yeah, I know there's an option to keep them when you do the uninstall, but better safe than sorry...) Good Luck!
