scrivener07
What file formats are used by Fallout 3?Edit What file formats are used by Fallout 3? sectionEdit All asset files are stored within "BSA" archives in Fallout's "/data" folder. All other game data is stored in "fallout3.esm" which can be edited with the Fallout 3 Construction Set. Graphics 3D Models: NetImmerse/Gamebryo "NIF" files (version 20.2.0.7) Textures: DirectDraw Surface "DDS" files (DXT1, DXT3, and DXT5 format, 8.8.8.8 Unsigned is also supported) Animation Skeletal Animation: NetImmerse/Gamebryo "KF" files (version 20.2.0.7) Lip Sync: Bethesda(?) Unpack them. You will need the construction set to apply your changes. READ READ READ the answers are out there.
evan3585
Im going to rip the textures again. They might have got deleted. I just rip everything from the game at once. I dont use the models for modding. I use them for making papercraft models. http://evanspapercraft.blogspot.com/2011/06/securitron-from-fallout-almost-done.htmlI use Blender 2.49 to rip the models and convert the dds textures to png. Then I open in Blender 2.58. I know about ripping BSA files and all that. Just cant find those textures for some reason so I must have deleted them somehow and didnt know I did. Thanks for the help:) Edited July 3, 2011 by evan3585
