charm creatures talent

Hey, apologies if I'm being stupid.

But is there a talent for charming wild animals, like wolves bears ect? (Not people/monsters) but not as a companion, but so they'll follow u loyally until death or u deactivate the talent? Like what rangers can do in Nwn?

Thanks!

Cale- not that I know of, but then I havent been playing for quite a while, so haven't been keeping up with the newer mods.

I do know from my own experience that this would need to be handled in a similar fashion as the summoned creatures that rangers use. Due to the difficulty in modding the UI of the game.

And that UI doesn't handle the control of humanoid creatures, so yeah... that part of it would have been really difficult.

I've always wanted to see animal taming/charming as part of this game. It's always been one of my favorite aspects of a lot of different games.

Good suggestion! Good luck with this one, I'd like to see it happen too

well there is one talent for blood mages in the vanilla game that does something similar to what you are describing. Think it was named "blood control" or something like that. Is that not what you are seeking?

yeah, i remember that, but i've never used it.

i suppose it could be possible to copy and adjust that talent for use only on beasts, and for unlimited time.

with some checks vs intelligence or willpower.?

i dunno, i dont have the 1st clue about modding.. lol

i just wanted a pet bear, like i always end up with in nwn.. lol

no no no I'm sorry, I didnt mean about the skill itself.

I was talking about being able to see the creature as part of the party.

It would have to be most likely added as a party member in the same way that summoned creatures are. Thats what I meant. Because of the fact that the current party system won't allow for more party members, other than the summoned creatures slots. So to add them to the party you'd add them in there, in the same fashion that Extra Dog Slot does.

Yeah, unfortunately, I wouldnt know how to implement it either. :(
