Seren4XX
Could you supply a little more information such as your load order (installed mods)? And by skins do you mean races or...? Also, did you make sure to place a tick infront of each file to ensure it's active? They don't activate themselves

bben46
Mot likely source of the problem is installing to the default location when using either Vista or Win7. Oblivion was designed before either of these operating systems and has never been changed to accommodate the UAC added with vista. There is no problem when using WinXP with installing to the default, and as long as you don't use mods it works fine in both Win7 and Vista. However, UAC is designed to prevent changes - such as those introduced by viruses into any program installed in the Program files folder - the default install location. UAC blocks most mods without bothering to tell you. Best solution - reinstall outside the UAC controlled Program files folders. I use C:\Games\Oblivion. All of my games, including Steam are installed to C:\Games each in it's own folder for isolation. Here is a link to my complete uninstall/reinstall procedure located in the WIKI section of the Nexushttp://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Oblivion_reinstall_procedure It allows you to preserve any saves and mods, or remove them completely - your choice. There is no ability built into the game for changing load order. The simplest way is through OBMM (Oblivion Mod Manager) Here: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2097
