Question regarding animated weaponary.

Hello my name is Alkarath,

 

 

Im a starting modder and am busy with my second mod which is a ripper-styled axe for Fallout 4 (Current progress).

I have a question regarding animations, as i was looking at the chain of the ripper in fo4 and saw it has a seperate texture file, now i assumed that was only because of it having alpha property's however because the blade of the buzzsaw in the first dlc also has a seperate texture file (which i assumed is because there is a normal and a tazer version) however it made me question if it might also have somthing to do with them being animated.

Does anybody know if animated parts need a seperate texture file?
