Hiryuu
New to modding Fallout New Vegas, but have modded Morrowind, oblivion and Skyrim plus a dosen other games for many years.FNV is the first I've given up on, no amount of googling and forum searches have yielded results that fix my problem. The textures on pretty much everything not modded is flickering and changing to completely random textures. Instead of faces there is a picture of corn one second and the next it's a piece of grass or a gun. I'm guessing the game is having some trouble with the meshes.bsa and textures.bsa but I can't google up a solution. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/Tarnqvist/FalloutNV%202016-04-17%2016-10-22-33.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c143/Tarnqvist/FalloutNV%202016-04-17%2016-10-20-05.jpg Any help is appreciated /Hiryuu
dubiousintent
How many mods do you have active? The cap for FNV is supposedly around 140 (big drop from the games you are used to), but anything over 130 is time to be cautious. If you aren't near the cap, what are your hardware specs (CPU cores & speed, system RAM, video card, OS version) and load order? Which mod manager (if any) are you using? -Dubious-

I've got nexus mod manager installed but have manually installed the mods after my first attempts with NMM. I reinstalled the whole game after the first f*#@up. dubiousintent
Well, I would agree with pixelhate that is most likely under the circumstances. I understand from other threads (don't use it myself) that with NMM you have to toggle it's "ArchiveInvalidation" option whenever you add or remove a texture/mesh mod so it updates. Do let us know if that fixes it. I'd like to add it the TESTG Troubleshooting page as confirmed. -Dubious- Edited April 18, 2016 by dubiousintent

I the closed the game and turned the archive invalidation back on and started the game once more. Still texture glitches but my mods worked. Unless you have anymore ideas I think I'll have to reinstall again tonight and be more careful this time.
dubiousintent
I'm afraid that you are indeed down to conflict isolation. Prioritize your mods first, then don't make assumptions. Test each and every mod you install even if you don't think it could possibly be involved. People get surprised all the time. Oubliette has a nice little 6 step guide here. But when you get to installing your body replacers, go with one at a time and install the BB skeleton first. Also, with Mikoto I vaguely recall you might need to install a separate "skin texture" compatible with your chosen body type (Type 3, Type 6, etc.) first. (Again, not using them so I'm not certain.) -Dubious-
Deleted1205226User
The modded content shows just fine while the Vanilla content shows symptoms that are usually seen with custom content missing some ArchiveInvalidation. Yes I'm clueless, sorry, this is quite unusual. Does deactivating your mods change that, does the Vanilla game shows fine without any mod?

I think I'll reinstall and try to get it right this time. Thank you both for your help so far.
