JDGameArt
I'm hoping to move on myself. Its hard to say if Skyrim will be as epic as Oblivion has been. The OP does have a point though. All this work, all these mods. Now we have to do it all over again. ;D

Telyn
@roquefort Nice Roy Batty quote there. It's interesting. Modding is largely about control and change. Controlling change. So I suppose when Skyrim first comes out, those of us who care more about change will switch to Skyrim right away, and those of us who care more about control will stay put at least for awhile because we already have lots of mods that tailor our game experience. Maybe it will bring back some Morrowind fans who didn't care for Oblivion. Bethesda keeps saying it will have more of a Morrowind feel.
Balakirev
im young so i haven't really played morrowind but i've watched a bit of lets plays...to me it seems like the landscape is just weird...the combat is in my opinion horrible...you failed casting the spell, you failed casting the spell.and the same thing with melee...*miss*miss*miss* however im thinking of playing it....do you recommend morrowind? why? please give me your opinions, because im considering playing it You might want to put this into another thread, since it's a different subject, and stick it in the Morrowind section. rinoaff33
I get the feeling that you may be right about Oblivion dying off. The main reason that Morrowind is still around is because it's unique - it's nowhere near the same as Oblivion, in terms of gameplay, story, graphics, and overall atmosphere. Skyrim, on the other hand, looks exactly like Oblivion but with more snow and Nords, plus dragons, a stereotype of fantasy everywhere on Earth [excluding maybe Africa and islanders] (somewhat off-topic but I would personally like it if they added a new race of some type, humans and elves being predominant gets old, and Khajitts and Argonians aren't all that beast-like; maybe they can bring back dwarves at least?). KaneRonnie
Dont worry about it just fan boys just screwn with your head, and besides skyrim sucks hands down i cant believe that all of these mods in oblivion that it could outlast skyrim due to skyrim's bugs and glitches and CTD. If you install a whole bunch of mods in oblivion it could handle even if their pc is medend. I love oblivion myself due to great fantasy , textures, music, battle music isnt that great but still skyrim how ever is full of harsh lands and it the faces looks uglier than oblivion, but oblivion is funnier as hell due to making funny faces (lamo). The real reason that hate skyrim is the fact that i have to delete skyrim and reinstall skyrim, i delete the mods and the files but i keep the important ones like updates and others, i did this like almost 3 freakn times, the first time i did this i install a mod that add skyrim protectors and this gave f*#@n cat people some overpowered bows damage of 15,000. This kinda sucks but its true, every time Bethesda make new games they killed some cool stuff that they use to have in recent titles like morrowind spells and potions, oblivion enchaments like shields if you dont have armor you make customized enchantments to your shirt, shoes, jewly, rings, and hats. Skyrim took that off and now this game sucks balls. And they also took away some really cool stuff like acrobatics roll and also attributes. Instead they combine these things into one skill like perks which really sucks as hell. Like they slapp that skills and copy and paste into that. In oblivion you can do a roll, doge, and jump high, but in skyrim you must add a perk in sneak and it sucks. Skyrim fanboys im sorry to say this this game isnt popular but its well known for bugs and glitches, most of them are game breaking. Oblivion has enchantment elemental magic shields too, skyrim have that but they took away shield enchantment and they have an enchantment for shield but its for skill like light armor or heavy armor.
