Ripebear
Hey guys. Long time fan and player of Elder scrolls here. I am getting a little excited about Skyrim and decided to play through Oblivion again. Now, I wanted to make a new topic to see what the current situation is. When it comes to mods I really like the graphical enhancement ones. Character and landscape. I have a fairly high end PC for playing Oblivion so that doesn't matter. Can you guys please recommend me some nice graphical mods to get started? Anything that will make oblivion look better :) Thanks

BlackCompany
The Northern Front: Requires latest OBSE, and sets up a largish mercenary camp @ Dragon Claw Rock. It will conflict with anything that modifies Dragon Claw Rock area, but does not conflict with any Unique Landscapes mods including the new Snowdale. Great, immersive quest line with ample rewards, but no hand holding. Very nice mod. Deadly Reflex: I use version 5.0 for better combat, timed block Less Annoying Magic Experience (LAME) and Race Balancing Project (RBP): making magic useful and powerful without unbalancing your game. Many new spells and merchants. And the new spells are used by enemies as well. Very nice. The Stranded Light: Requires LAME, RBP, Shivering Isles. Numerous Mini-quests, each its own short story. Immersive, with no hand holding. Focus on persuasion and puzzling things out, with minimal combat, so a nice break from the usual. Compatible with most mods, including Better Cities and Unique Landscapes (UL). Find an overhaul. I use TIE, but get one that gets rid of level offset enemies and such. They wreck the game. Plus, static leveled enemies play well with LAME. Hope this helps get you going, enjoy!
