jdbpatriots
Ok everybody, I have a somewhat passable yet very annoying problem. I had about 150ish saves on my play-through and then decided to create a new character, so I copied all of my saves to a backup folder. After about 4 saves, Honest Hearts came out and I bought that and wanted to play through it on my original game character, so I copied all my saves to the NV game save folder again. The problem is, now when I save, it goes by the 4 saves number of saves. By this I mean that I loaded save number 150-something and the next save I made with my ORIGINAL character, instead of being number 150-next number (lets say 157) it became save number 5. Not a huge deal, but kind of confusing/annoying. So anyone know how to fix this? Possibly editing the saves in the directory, but just changing the saves game number doesn't change the in-game number (renaming a file from Save 5 to Save 157 doesn't change anything in the game :wallbash: ). Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! JB :nuke:
drakeelvin
I beleive if you move your current saves to a temp folder and completely clean out the NV save folder, then move in your 150ish saves. I'd recommend getting rid of quick/auto saves entirely don't keep 'em. Then load your last of the 150 saves and do a full save, this will timestamp it. Then copy in the newer 4 saves. Now it should start any new saves from number from 150ish+ when you load. Seems to work for me. You'll still notice though that your current 4 saves, and the first 4 of your original 150ish saves, will be numbered 1, 2, 3, 4 on the load screen. But new saves should start at 150+. And yeah, annoying :D Edited July 4, 2011 by drakeelvin
