ERASERhead1
...in latest files/most recent files? I check FO4 Nexus every day. Today I see Super Mutant Redux and Unofficial FO4 patch, which is the first I have seen these. I hop on the Nexus, check out the hot files, scroll down and check out the latest files, then click on the most recent files and scroll through until I recognize mods from the day before. I'm just wondering why I see these hot file mods that I seem to miss with this method. It makes me wonder what other mods I am missing that don't show up on the hot files, unless these are older mods that got new updates and become a hot file? That's the only thing I can think of. That or they are new mods that immediately become hot files. Edited April 19, 2016 by ERASERhead1
Oubliette
Happens to me sometimes as well. It's usually just because while I'm checking the new files, I see something and then aren't interested in clicking on it to read more and the name simply escapes me. Sometimes I deliberately ignore a new mod thinking that it sounds interesting but not worth investigating further if or until it reaches hot files. Wunderbot
I talk to MadMax (the guy behind Super Mutant Redux and Raider Overhaul) every now and then, and I do know he's been working on the Super Mutant Redux for quite some time now and has already uploaded several versions before the current one that reached hot files. I didn't see it in newest files either. I did see the Unofficial FO4 Patch pass by earlier today though.
gamefever
Well, it happens. Although sometimes mods do better after they hit Hot Files cause some people don't click the mod in "Latest Files"In the past it was actually possible to crawl up into the Top One Hundred without being a Hotfile but these days I don't think so with soo many mods hitting each day. I've had a few Hot Files but mostly to be in Hot Files it takes getting a record number of downloads, endorsements in a relative period of time verse other mods in a set time frame. (maybe a week?)....Hot Files is actually tailored to each person according to preferences or information gathered. So the Hotfiles I see can be entirely different even if say we have the adult section displayed...I might not see all of the adult stuff cause I download a lot more of the stuff that expands on the game and deals with immersion or locations rather than the micro bikini. So its entirely possible to collect dust for a while and then hit the top. Edited April 19, 2016 by gamefever
ERASERhead1
That's interesting... I didn't realize that hot files were tailored by personal preference... I thought everyone saw the same hot files. Another thing is when I go to Nexus I am never signed in... reason being that you can see the pictures of the mod when you click on recent files versus when you sign in it doesn't show the pictures anymore. Eventually I do sign in if I download a mod obviously, but I can never recall seeing the hot files change. Then again, I don't download nude mods or skimpy outfits... I care more about pretty much every other mod than those. Maybe it is user error on my end I guess.
