BlackCompany
Darker Nights and dungeons. Why did we even have night eye and torches in Oblivion or fallout? It wasn't as if they were needed, really. Make nights matter, please. Vampires and Werewolves - or not. Either make them matter, or leave them out. Make transforming into Were-creatures a crime subject to Death. Make Vampires deadly dangerous - at night, and weaker during daylight hours. Make quests around both lines. I don't care about an Underworld Style war between the two, its done to death. Granted both are natural predators and each should know if you are one of them and whether you are one of the opposite faction. But please - either make them matter, with real, unique powers and drawbacks, or just dump them both in favor of tighter story and main quest design. Real combat: Dismemberment, blood and real physics animations. I want to see opponents getting knocked around by shield bash, losing arms to sword strikes, etc. Its burtal, its gory and its also immersive when your character emerges from combat covered in blood. I don't want gore for the sake of it - think dead bodies draped all over FO3, come on - but gore and blood where its appropriate is a welcome addition to immersion. Dragon Mounts. Give us one much later in the MQ. After we have absorbed a large number of souls, learned dozens of shouts and earned the respect of most dragons. Then they can grant us the ride. Also, a faction of dragons helping the player would be welcome, too. Make them immersive, so we understand the difference between the good and bad factions of dragons, their motives and reasoning. This was completely lacking in the Daedric invasion. We never learned Dagon's motives, save for some shallow "he's the lord of destruction" speech. I know writers can do better. Real Magic. (I know, some oxymoron there.) More elements, powers with physical effects, like stagger, recoil and knockdowns. I mean, getting hit by an arrow in my TIE game hurts worse than getting hit by friggin lightning. This is completely unacceptable, really. Make magic matter Bethesda. Real Stealth. Make light and shadow matter. Let NPC's notice dead bodies. Helpful hint, based on your preview video: When I drop a guy from the shadows with a bow, the dude next to him should react somehow. I would certainly consider ducking or moving myself. I might even look around a little. And speaking of bows: You don't hold them sideways. They are held upright, one perpendicular to the ground with the shaft pulled back near your ear. You aim by sighting down the arrow. Please do away with the "gangsta-bow" animation and replace it with one where the bow is held, um, correctly. Thanks. If you'd actually listened to Mankar Camoran, you'd learn his motives.
monkeyboi
hardcore mode: sorta like new vegas but better, rather than have 4 stages of hunger. thirst, and sleep deprivation make it a sort of sliding scale of debuffs, and make it so that hunting for food is efficient so people don't always cop out and drop 2 coins on some bread and remove all the debuffs. Corakus
What is everyone hoping for in Skyrim? :)I know I'm hoping for dismemberment toggle, more realistic ghouls(ones that have blood dripping off of them or something) and maybe guts when you stab someone in the stomach? :Dits been confirmed that there isnt dismemberment and Ghouls havent been in an elder scrolls game since arenaNo dismemberment?? darn! what a buzzkill:/but i thought there were ghouls/zombies in oblivion? Dude, this isn't fallout. Ghouls =/= zombie. http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Ghoul#Ghoul http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:OBCreature-Zombie.jpg Do you see a difference there? Because you should. You say that as if though Fallout was the first game to ever have ghouls in it, it wasn't.The word "ghoul" is often used interchangeably with the word "zombie".In fact the Fallout ghouls are often referred to as zombies by NPCs. Thanks.Night is fine how it is, the moon(s) and stars make the world fairly bright at night. However interiors without lighting seriously need to be darkened. Its has been confirmed that you CAN NOT fly dragons. Also for bows, I thought the animation was only sideways when crouching down? That makes some sense when crouching since depending on how big your bow is, you may not be able to hold it good. I would prefer a better bow animation anyways.
