Haoswidasee
So another mod author and I are putting together a radio station mod of Neo-Electronic-Metal for another project I am working on :D It will be the soundtrack. And I was wondering if anyone knows if you are allowed to use .WAV files or do they have to be shitty MP3? WAV files sound a lot better.
Reneer
They don't have to be MP3 - you can instead use WAV or the XWM format. Edited April 20, 2016 by Reneer

When you spend a lot of time mixing a song just to have the quality cut in half with MP3 format, it kind of defeats the whole purpose :D
seekingthesun
Just as long as those songs are either made by you, you paid royalties to use it, you have sole permission from the artist, or the songs are in the public domain. Otherwise you cannot upload that mod.

I feel like in the music department I am good to go lol
PoliteRaider
You may run into some troubles if you use raw .wav files as they can be slow to load the next track. If there's a large number of tracks and they're all .wavs you seem to get a bit of a pause between your songs playing. Using .xwm seems to fix this problem, not sure if the format is going to be suitable to you though. Edit: I'm happy to convert one over for you if want to have a listen so you can compare the audio-quality, just send me a dropbox link or whatever and I'll give you an example conversion to listen to. Alternatively you can just grab the converter yourself here: MultiXWM. Edited April 22, 2016 by PoliteRaider
Reneer
Oh, and I generally don't do this sort of thing, but since you're making a radio station, you may want to give my Radio Mod a look see. It allows any in-game radio to play multiple radio stations, including third-party ones like yours: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8962/?(A big update is coming soon for it, too) Edited April 22, 2016 by Reneer

Or would I need to write a patch to make it compatible?
