sophiextime
hiya x I love survival modes and hardcore mods that push my limits and ability to make it to the end of each wasteland day. I use the Hardcore Mod and have to eat drink and rest. I can cook and pillage food from most places all be it morsels of food and can drink from water-pumps and settlements. But i dont yet see any useful water-flask and hip-flask to carry water ( ideally cleaned and rad-free) with me as i explore the wasteland. I can collect Nuka-cola's and Brahmin milk and alcohol but i would love to have a proper water flask. On the back of the vanilla combat armor ( the body piece) in FO4 there is a visible water flask/bottle. Could someone use that mesh and textures to create one you can find, craft or get given so i can carry a good few servings of water on the go? maybe fill up from waterpumps at settlements or use he cooking pot to purify dirty water or pond/river water and then store into that? I know likely drinking and eating animations will come in time with G.E.C.K. but even for now just without any animations. So hoping someone notices this small humble request and considers it.:) fankies.
Wunderbot
Until something more complex comes around, you could try out this one:http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8392/?
sophiextime
omg thankyou Wunderbot.:) It amazes me that you can create a waterpump that even is animated yet not store the water into anything you can carry and drink from. so this will work for now. Thank you again. << is easily please! hehe
PoliteRaider
I'm working on one at the moment, but I've got a couple of projects going so I can't promise when it'll be finished. I'll put a link up when it's done so you can see if it's what you're looking for.
Dracula420
@Sophiextime i didn't see it mentioned in your post but if you have empty beer bottles, wine bottles or any other empty bottle you can press R while looking at a pump (or lake, or river) to fill them with dirty water. if you take the dirty water to a cooking station 3 dirty waters can be boiled and cleaned into 1 purified water. sucks that you dont get the bottles back tho.....but eventually there will be a mod for that. XD tho on a side note i do miss my new vegas never ending water flask  EDIT: just read that if you fill bottle from a clean source (like vault fountains) you get purified water instead of dirty water. good looking out bethesda! sophiextime
heheh yay!! thank you all so much. i did try the MOD Wunderbot suggested ( http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8392/? )and it is really interesting. it creates the interaction of just a simple animated water pumping of the pump at settlements into a kind of workbench interaction. so now when i interact with a small hand water pump it brings up a menu saying ' Craft / transfer'. Then if i click craft i can put water from the pump into a container i have, ie empty milk bottle, beer bottle etc. Only slight thing i did notice is that i am really trying to leave my empty milk bottles alone for the Brahmin milking MOD http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12175/? i now have that lets me approach wild brahmin and fill empty milk bottles with brahmin milk. The water mod seems to automatically choose first my empty milk bottles. Also as ya kind of mentioned Dracula, what ever bottle is used vanishes once that drink is consumed, ie water or milk. it doesn't put the empty bottles back in my inventory. Ideally just a water bottle, much like the one attached to the back of the vanilla combat armor that doesn't vanish when its emptied would be ideal. the water-flask could hold about 6 servings for example. that would at least deal with my hardcore/survival mode thirst between settlements. Edited April 21, 2016 by sophiextime
