avianmosquito
This was kind of an easy one, so if not for the fact that I don't mod much anymore, I would have done it. But nice to see it got picked up, and by none other than avianmosquito lol. What I can't figure is why the game doesn't already have one.
hadoumastery
Yeah, it bugged me as well honestly. But hey, it's not all that hard to do. I did it a long time ago, just didn't have an account back when I made most of my mods... so I really haven't released any. Although I've been lurking around the nexus for quite some time. avianmosquito
I was just thinking it could be around, as a common weapon, not as a special weapon. And the models aren't very different, I just want a traditional rifle, like the Hunting Rifle, but with a default scope and a more small-rifle feel. Lighter colored wood helps that. And to be honest, the reloading animation could be the Hunting Rifle animation. Or you could just make a new material for the hunting rifle, have a scope as default, and chamber it for the .22. I don't think it would be hard, but IDK how to code. I'll just use the varmint rifle's model, shrink it a bit, and the hunting rifle's colour scheme. I'd probably change the sights, though. I'm thinking hunting-rifle sights, but without the green dots. (Keep in mind, I LIKE the green dots, they're very helpful, but they aren't something that fits here.) I'll include this in my current mod. Available mods will include: Sniper scope:Strong magnification, excellent for long range targets.Night scope:Doesn't magnify as well as the sniper scope, but has night-vision.Extended magazine:Changes mag size from 20 to 30, but lowers reliability. (It's a .22, why not?)Casket mag:Changes mag size from 20 to 40, but lowers reliability even more.Lightwieght stock:Lower wieght, greater spread. PERMANANT.Short barrel:Lower wieght, greater spread. Stacks with lightwieght stock. PERMANANT.Supressor:Lower wieght, lesser velocity and damage.Hair trigger:Small decrease in spread, small increase in rate of fire, small increase in reliability. Random chance to fire on reload, ready and holstering.Custom action:Greater rate of fire, lighter wieght. Small loss in accuracy and reliability. A unique version will also exist named "Baby's First Rifle." It's a miniature hunting rifle in .22LR, and can only use the extended magazines. Comes supressed, has luminescent white dots on its sights instead of green ones. UPDATE: Most of the things listed here have been axed. There are three .22 rifles, the target rifle, the training rifle and "Baby's first rifle." The target rifle is a retextured hunting rifle, and is extremely accurate, but the only mod is a low-grade scope. The training rifle is a retextured varmint rifle, it isn't as accurate but it's lighter and has better mods available. (Extended mags, night scope and supressor.) "Baby's first rifle" is a retextured hunting rifle, extremely accurate and has a number of effective mods built into it. (Extended mags, night scope and integral supressor.) The target rifle is pretty much everywhere. It's not hard to find in stores or on enemies. The training rifle is rare, but they can occasioanlly be found in stores, not to mention that Chet and Gun Runners are both guaranteed to have them. "Baby's first rifle" is carried by the mod's child prospectors, and is also a good they will occasionally have for sale.
