KazFoxsen Posted July 5, 2011 Share Posted July 5, 2011 I've already read the porting hairs to FO3 tutorial, but I'm not sure if beards are different because you can't just paste a branch in Nifskope over the NoHat part of a vanilla hair mesh. All I did to this beard was fix some proportions to fit a different head mesh. The textures are vanilla and I've checked the proper shader flags. I've tried pasting the NiTriShape branch over a vanilla one too, but it doesn't change the mesh, just bumps the NiMaterialProperty out of place. The texture, normals, and mesh work great, but I can't get the thing to change hair color in GECK. What do I do? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

(found them on the wiki: There are two things that determine that a hair is colourable in Fallout: the hair has a _hl.dds image file associated to it (see previous section for details) the hair mesh has vertex colours. To set this:select the NiTriShapeData of the NoHat NiTriShape node and in Block Details look for the parameter Has Vertex Colors. Set it to yes as shown in picture Has Vertex Colors parameter.
